Founded in 1996, the Journal of Medieval Studies was at first an interdisciplinary journal covering the period from the 12th to the 15th century. From the 19th issue and the year 2010, the journal broadens his horizons et becomes the Journal of Medieval and Humanistic Studies, that publishes articles dealing with topics from any period of the Middle Ages as well as the Renaissance, and is equally receptive to articles adopting a transhistorical outlook on the way in which the medieval period has been interpreted from the 16th century to the present day.
The journal ceased publication with issue 18 | 2009.
